How did you get started in the industry?
I got started hosting social events and children’s parties for family and friends after they saw how well I hosted my own parties for my daughter.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Be brave and just get out there, don’t overthink everything. The more events I’ve done the more confidence I’ve gained in my ability.
What do you see as the most challenging aspect of being an Event Planner?
Marketing!
What do you see as the most rewarding aspect of being an Event Planner?
At the end of the event when your client is so happy to see their vision come to life! It’s an amazing feeling of accomplishment.
What advice would you give to someone entering the industry today?
Charge what you’re worth and don’t compromise just to get a job. It often doesn’t work, including with friends.
